Day 5…

Only a brief post today, to give an update on my experience with the endo diet.

I had an interesting encounter yesterday with another endometriosis patient who told me, I don’t have to be 100% strict about the endo diet… if I am doing 80%, this is already fantastic and a tremendous change with what I was eating beforehand. I wish I never heard this… because since then, I ate one piece of chocolate and some cheese… 🥴 I feel soooo guilty about it!! I especially struggle with snacks… because I shouldn’t eat too much fruit either (max. 2 pieces a day, because of the sugar level), so I’m not too sure yet which snacks I can eat, which are still ok for my diet. I will try to get back on track now. No more chocolate and no more cheese… and I hope that I can give a positive update soon.

En-do-menu today:

Breakfast: Coconut yoghurt with chia seeds, blueberries and homemade granola

Lunch: Sweet potatoes purée with lentils and vegi quorn ‘meat’

Snack: strawberries and a piece of chocolate 🍫 🙈

For dinner this evening: chicken with salad (lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber)

    It is dangerous for me to say I can have just a little bit – especially in the beginning when I am trying to get over the cravings! So I don’t blame you for going in 100%

    Snacking really can be tricky. I am not entirely sure what is allowed on your diet. I find nuts to be a good option. Or carrots with peanut butter if I need something more filling. Sometimes a rice cake with peanut butter. Just make sure the peanut butter doesn’t have extra sugars (like molasses or honey) 🙂
